The CompTIA A+ Core Series is the latest version with expanded content on growing parts of the IT support role including an expansion of baseline security topics and a different approach to defining competency in operational procedures. The English version of the 900 series exams will retire July 31, 2019. Other languages will retire October 1, 2019. Candidates must pass both exams in the same series to earn certification.

The CompTIA A+ course includes the two exams you need to pass the course and start your career!

  • CompTIA A+ 220-1001 covers mobile devices, networking technology, hardware, virtualization and cloud computing and network troubleshooting.

  • CompTIA A+ 220-1002 covers installing and configuring operating systems, expanded security, software troubleshooting and operational procedures.

  • WINDOWS ​OPERATING SYSTEMS:
    Install and support Windows OS including command line & client support
  • SOFTWARE TROUBLESHOOTING:
    Troubleshoot PC and mobile device issues including application security support
  • MOBILE DEVICES:
    Install & configure laptops and other mobile devices
  • OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES:
    Follow best practices for safety, environmental impacts, and communication and professionalism
  • NETWORKING:
    Explain types of networks and connections including TCP/IP, WIFI and SOHO
  • HARDWARE & NETWORK TROUBLESHOOTING:
    Troubleshoot device and network issues
  • SECURITY:
    Identify and protect against security vulnerabilities for devices and their network connections

There are no formal prerequisites for the CompTIA A+ certification, but we recommend that you have 9 to 12 months hands-on experience in the lab or field.
