Project Management Courses

Project Manager

Your questions answered.

Companies large and small across virtually all industry sectors need project managers to ensure that their work is delivered to their customers on time, on budget and in the ways agreed.

Having the right skills and qualifications is essential to securing a project management role that is rewarding and lucrative.

Who’s it suitable for?

Different companies will look for different types of people depending on their culture, what products or services they provide and who to, the team they will be managing and a whole range of other factors.

A typical project manager needs a combination of soft and technical skills which could include an aptitude for problem solving, excellent time management, attention to detail and ability to delegate appropriately. On the technical side, the most important qualification is having a PRINCE2 project management qualification. While having ability in strategic planning, project lifecycle management and budgeting are usually required in project manager roles.

What does this package consist of?

  • The main element is PRINCE2, the globally recognised process-based method for effective project management that will give you the fundamental skills you need to successfully secure a project manager role and develop your career. There are different levels of PRINCE2.

  • We also offer a range of other courses that teach skills useful to existing or aspiring project managers including agile, six sigma, change management as well as many others.

What job roles will it lead to?

Project Manager roles are sometimes given other titles such as -

  • Consultant

  • Operations Manager

  • Business Analyst.

So it’s good to look at what employers require in more detail to see if it’s a project management role by another name.
